Draft, not yet confirmed
This page is a first draft, written so there is something concrete to react to. Everything below still needs Coach Pete's and Danielle's confirmation before this site goes live.
The prices, locations and details here were taken from a Marston Athletics newsletter sent in late August 2026. None of it has been verified. Anywhere a figure appears it is labelled with where it came from, and anywhere we simply do not know the answer the question is still listed with the gap marked, rather than filled in with a guess. To confirm anything on this page, or to get a price for a specific session, text Coach Pete on 732-986-2796.
Questions we get asked
FAQ
Getting started
Registration & booking
How do I book my child into a workout?
Text or call Coach Pete on 732-986-2796. Sessions on the regular weekly schedule, private one-to-one workouts, at-home training and shooting machine sessions are all booked directly with him.
The live schedule of what runs on which day is on the Training page: see the current schedule.
Is there anything to fill in before the first session?
Yes. A parental consent form must be completed before your athlete's first workout. It only needs doing once.
Is the first workout really free?
The site has carried a free first workout offer for first-time athletes. Camps, clinics and special events are not included.
Needs confirming: whether this offer is still running for the current season.
How do I hear about new sessions and camps?
Sign up for workout updates and they come through by text and email.
One thing catches people out: to start receiving the text updates you have to reply YES to the last message you received. If the texts have gone quiet, that is usually why.
Who is RH2?
RH2 has appeared as a partner on some joint workouts run with Marston Athletics.
Needs confirming: how to describe the partnership, and which sessions it covers.

Payments & prices
When do I pay?
Workouts are paid for in advance. Players show proof of payment at each workout. This is not a figure that needs checking: it is how the program runs.
How do I pay?
CashApp $PeterMarston, Venmo @Peter-Marston-3, or Zelle on 732-986-2796. There are QR codes for CashApp and Venmo on the payment page.
What does a session cost?
The private rates match Coach Pete's current Private Workouts sheet. The other figures come from the late-August 2026 newsletter and have not been verified. Confirm the current rate with Coach Pete before paying.
| Private, from Coach Pete's Private Workouts sheet | |
|---|---|
| Private one-to-one workout | $80 per session |
| Private, 5-session package | $300 |
| Private, 10-session package | $550 |
| From the August newsletter, unverified | |
| Group workout | $30 |
| Clinics | around $50 |
| At-home private training | priced by location, quoted per booking |
| Shooting machine session | quoted by Coach Pete |
Do private workout packages expire?
From Coach Pete's current Private Workouts sheet.
Yes. The 5-session package must be used within 1 month of purchase, and the 10-session package within 2 months.
Is there a monthly option?
From the late-August 2026 newsletter, unverified.
A Monthly Unlimited is offered at Green Street only. The newsletter listed it at $250, rising to $300 from September 1. That date has now passed, so the current rate should be the higher one, but please confirm it rather than assuming.
Needs confirming: the current monthly price, what it includes, and whether it covers clinics and camps.
What if we pay and then miss the session?
We do not know. There is no documented policy on refunds, credits, cancellations or how much notice is needed. This needs a decision before launch.

Where
Locations
Where do you train?
Two locations:
- Green Street 94 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095
- Union Catholic HS 1600 Martine Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076
Which sessions run at which gym?
That changes through the season, so it is kept on one live schedule rather than printed here: see the current schedule.
Two things are fixed. The shooting machine is at Green Street only, and Monthly Unlimited is a Green Street option only.
Do you come to us?
Yes. At-home private training is available, priced by location and booked directly with Coach Pete on 732-986-2796. Team sessions can also run on your own home court.
Where do we park, and which door do we use?
We do not know, and it is the sort of thing a first-time family asks. Worth a sentence for each location once someone can confirm it.
Who it is for
Age groups
How old does my child need to be?
Marston Athletics trains boys and girls at every age and stage of the game, from first-time dribblers through to Division I prospects.
Sessions are grouped by age and by level, and which group runs when changes through the season, so the age bands are shown against each session on the current schedule rather than listed here.
Needs confirming: the age bands currently running, so they can be written out properly on this page. The previous version of the site listed Sunday bands, but those belonged to the summer schedule and are out of date.
Are boys and girls trained together?
Both boys and girls train with Marston Athletics. Some sessions have historically been run for one or the other, and some for both.
Needs confirming: which of the current sessions are mixed and which are not.
My child has never played before. Is that a problem?
No. The group program is described as the classic introduction to Marston Athletics and is built for players learning the fundamentals, and individual sessions are planned around whatever level a player is starting from.
On the day
What to bring
What should my child bring to a workout?
Proof of payment. All workouts are paid for in advance, and players show proof of payment at each workout.
Needs confirming, and this is the biggest gap on this page: whether players bring their own ball, what footwear is required, whether water is provided, and whether there is anything else expected. We have deliberately not guessed. Two or three confirmed sentences here would answer the question first-time families ask most.
What counts as proof of payment?
Needs confirming: whether a screenshot is enough, or whether a coach needs to see the transaction in the app itself.
Can parents stay and watch?
We do not know. Worth confirming for each gym, since the two venues may have different rules.

If your question is not on this page, or you want a figure confirmed before you pay, text or call Coach Pete. He would rather answer than have you guess.
